Allen J. Anderson
ChairmanMr. Allen Anderson has been a Managing Director at JEN Partners, LLC since July 2008 after having joined the firm as a Senior Advisor in 2006. Allen brings a 38-year real estate investment experience both as an investor and as a manager. Prior to JEN Partners, Allen was Chairman and CEO of Meridian Industrial Trust, a NYSE listed REIT until its sale to Pro Logis in 1999. He was also a founding shareholder and director of Recurrent Energy Inc., has previously served as Director of Lend Lease Global Properties Fund, CEO of MRealty, a bank holding company’s real estate subsidiary, and was a Partner in Arthur Andersen’s institutional real estate services practice. Allen is a founding member and past Director of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and Chairman of its Research Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, having received a degree in Finance and Real Estate.
Kenneth J. Cutillo
Mr. Cutillo is the Chief Executive Officer of Boston Financial. He has 15 years of experience in the low-income housing tax credit industry as a senior executive and tax attorney. Prior to joining Boston Financial, Mr. Cutillo was a Senior Vice President at Alliant Asset Management Company, LLC. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Cutillo was responsible for supervising that firm's acquisition department. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Cutillo was a Tax Partner at McGuireWoods, LLP and Chairman of its Affordable Housing Group. His practice at McGuireWoods, LLP focused exclusively on the representation of institutional investors, syndication firms and developers working in the affordable housing industry. Mr. Cutillo began his career in affordable housing in 1994 as tax counsel at Ungaretti & Harris, where he represented large financial institutions in their investment in various tax advantaged products. Mr. Cutillo received his B.A. from The University of the South in Political Science and History, a Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida's Graduate Tax Program.
Paul J. Doocy
Mr. Doocy is the head of the Investment/Acquisitions Team and co-manages the day-to-day operations of Real Estate Capital Partners. He oversees the firm’s overall due diligence and investment/disposition approval process, and is a member of the Internal Investment Committee. Prior to joining Real Estate Capital Partners, Mr. Doocy was a partner in a Dallas-based real estate investment banking firm. The focus of his investment activity was large, structured finance transactions involving pension fund clients. He also has experience in securitization vehicles such as REMICs, REITs and low-income housing tax credits. Mr. Doocy began his career with a Dallas-based real estate and oil and gas syndication firm. He is an active member of the Multifamily Leadership Board for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and he is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.
Reuben S. Leibowitz
Mr. Leibowitz is the Founder and Managing Director of JEN Partners, LLC, a New York-based private equity real estate firm. Prior to JEN Partners, Mr. Leibowitz was a Managing Director of Warburg Pincus for 22 years and was responsible for the firm's real estate effort. He also spent a majority of his time helping set and implement Warburg Pincus’ long term strategy and structuring the firm’s operating entities and private equity funds, including finance, legal and tax. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Leibowitz spent 15 years in public accounting, including 5 years as a Tax Partner at Spicer & Oppenheim. Mr. Leibowitz is a director of Simon Property Group, the largest U.S. REIT, and was a director of four other NYSE Listed companies (Chelsea Property Group, Grubb & Ellis Co., Lennar, and Pacific Greystone).
Karin E. Shewer
Ms. Shewer is a founding partner of Real Estate Capital Partners where she manages the day-to-day operations of the firm and heads the company's marketing department. Ms. Shewer also oversees all fundraising efforts and is a member of the Internal Investment Committee. Prior to establishing Real Estate Capital Partners, Ms. Shewer was Senior Vice President of Mellon Real Estate Investment Management Corporation where she marketed the firm’s real estate products to pension funds and wealthy individuals. While at Mellon, Ms. Shewer also served as the primary contact for general client and shareholder communications; handled public relations for the Mellon Participating Mortgage Trust; and sat on the investment and asset management committees. Ms. Shewer is a member and former Chairman of the Executive Board of The Association of Foreign Investors in U.S. Real Estate (AFIRE).
